Business Insights through Data

This one was hard! Nothing says new term than this course..

Business Insights through Data

Many times I was lost during this course - But as they always say, when the going gets tough make sure you have the right class mates to confront yourself with (Thank you Yari and Alejandra!!)

Thank you for this effort. Very clearly drawn insights and the messaging linked to the visuals is very good. Implications are also useful. The pitch with recommendations here could be superior in terms of more specificity bit overall quite credible. There are several ways to identify the top-performing SKUs. The simplest way would be to take the total and arrange it in descending order. More advanced ways would be to create sub-samples by seasonal, discount, divide by sales team size etc. As discussed in class there are several ways to forecast sales. The simplest and easiest to explain would be to take the average of previous months and then a linear projection. More advanced ways would be to create sub-samples by some of the more important variables such as seasonal and discount options. We find that on average, SKUs that have discounting options had higher sales than the ones that did not have discounting options. Similarly, SKUs that had sales incentives had on average higher sales than the ones without sales incentives. The SKUs that had both sales incentives and discounting options had the highest average sales. Best wishes,
